James Patterson

Mr. Patterson is an American novelist, who is best known as the creator of the forensic psychologist “Alex Cross” series of books.  He is also known to collaborate with younger authors including Michael Ledwidge, Andrew Gross, and Maxine Paetro.

Patterson specializes in crime thrillers but will write romantic stories and non-fiction works as well.  As of this writing, he has created 71 novels in the past 33 years.

James Patterson’s books have placed on the NY Times best selling list 19 times.   He holds the Guinness World Record for the most bestselling NY Times hard cover fiction by an author.

In 2005, Patterson donated more than $850,000 via The James Patterson Page Turner Awards.  The funds went to individuals, corporations, and schools.  In 2008, he funded read kiddo read to help librarians, and other adults find the best reading material for young people.

Many of Patterson’s works have appeared on TV and movie screens.  These include, but are not limited to, the films “Kiss the Girls” and “Along Came A Spider”, from the Alex Cross series, starring Morgan Freeman.  Also for television we have the 3 hour special “1st to die”, starring Tracy Pollan as Lindsay Boxer.

Mr. Patterson himself has appeared in 2 TV series:  “The Simpsons” and “Castle”

    Please enter me for “Run for Your Life”. Anything James Patterson writes, I need to read. Only thing is that he is wriintg faster than I read (lol). Am a new follower and finding your blog and reviews exceptional.
